On 28 February, Ambassador Gui Congyou met with Mr. Kenneth G Forslund, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Swedish Parliament, at the Embassy. Committee Member Ms. Maria Andersson Willner, Alternate Members Ms. Marie-Louise Rönnmark and Mr. Anders Österberg, and Political Secretary of the Committee Ms. Emma Karlsson attended.
Ambassador Gui and Mr. Forslund had an extensive exchange of views on China-Sweden relations and the two countries’ state governance experience. They both agreed it is the common goal of all political parties, including the Communist Party of China and the Swedish Social Democratic Party, to steadfastly promote social and economic development and people’s well-being, and that it is the common pursuit of all ruling parties to meet the people’s aspirations for a better life. They both expressed willingness to strengthen communication and exchanges, learn from each other, and work together for the development of the two countries and the well-being of the two peoples.
