In view of the rapid spread of COVID-19 across the world, since 28 March, the Chinese Government has temporarily suspended entry into China by foreign nationals holding visas or residence permits still valid to the time of the announcement, while continuing to provide visa facilitation to foreign nationals traveling to China for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or for urgent humanitarian purposes.
As China continues COVID-19 prevention and control measures, in order to facilitate people-to-people exchanges, the Chinese side has decided that, nationals with valid residence permits for employee, family reunion or personal affairs, from the countries listed below, may apply for visas free of charge at Chinese embassies and consulates in these countries. The foreign nationals traveling to China are kindly requested to comply with the epidemic prevention and control regulations of the local governments after entering China.
