On September 19, 2026, Counsellor Huang Liqiong of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden attended a welcome event for newly arrived Chinese students organized by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association in Sweden, together with the CSSAs of Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and the Stockholm School of Economics.

Counsellor Huang welcomed the new students and briefed them on key aspects of studying and living in Sweden, relevant study-abroad programs and available support resources. She encouraged them to adapt quickly to the academic and research environment, plan their studies well, strengthen their safety awareness and ability to adapt, and observe local laws, regulations and university rules. She also encouraged them to pursue a safe, healthy, responsible and successful study experience abroad, and to contribute to educational and people-to-people exchanges between China and Sweden.

During the event, the CSSAs introduced students to academic life, campus resources and other practical matters, and interacted with the newcomers to help them better adapt to studying and living in Sweden and make a smooth start to their study-abroad experience.
