On August 16, 2026, the 14th Helsingborg World Choir Games came to a successful conclusion. The event attracted approximately 8,500 participants from 160 choirs representing over 40 countries and regions. Ms. Li Rui, Counsellor in charge of cultural affairs at the Chinese Embassy in Sweden, and Mr. Yang Peidong, Consul General of China in Gothenburg, were invited to serve as award presenters at the award ceremony.

In the two parallel competition tracks—the Champions Competition and the Open Competition—each comprising 19 categories, Chinese choirs, including those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, delivered outstanding performances featuring superb vocal skills and diverse singing styles. They secured a total of eight world championship titles and six first-place awards in the Open Competition, along with 44 gold and silver awards across various categories. The Chinese delegation won the highest number of awards among all participating countries.

This remarkable achievement not only highlights the profound heritage and vibrant vitality of Chinese choral art, but also adds a vibrant touch to cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world.
