On August 20, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Limin attended and delivered remarks at the China-Europe Young Scientists Exchange Seminar and the Reception for the Sino-EU Engineering Education Platform (SEEEP) International High-Level Doctoral Summer School hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Sweden. Nearly 60 faculty members and graduate students from more than 10 Chinese and European universities attended the event.

Ambassador Zhou noted that China-Sweden and China-Europe cooperation in education, science and technology is growing deeper and more substantive through one concrete project after another. He expressed the hope that young scholars would make the most of the opportunities for exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and friendship, and strengthen cooperation in addressing global challenges such as climate change, energy transition and artificial intelligence.

Professor Björn Laumert, Head of the Department of Energy Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Professor Yu Zitao of Zhejiang University delivered remarks on behalf of the European and Chinese faculty members respectively. Mr. Cui Yuting, Counsellor for Science and Technology Affairs at the Chinese Embassy, gave a presentation on the opportunities and challenges of China-Sweden cooperation in scientific and technological innovation.
