On August 18, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Limin visited Lund University and met with Vice-Chancellor Professor Erik Renström to exchange views on strengthening China-Sweden cooperation in higher education and promoting people-to-people exchanges.

Ambassador Zhou spoke highly of Lund University's longstanding and valuable contribution to China-Sweden cooperation in higher education and scientific research. He introduced the Young Envoys Scholarship (YES) Program and welcomed more young Swedish students to study and participate in exchange programs in China, thereby enhancing their understanding of the country.

Vice-Chancellor Renström introduced Lund University's educational philosophy and its cooperation with China. He expressed support for encouraging more students to learn Chinese and participate in exchange programs in China, and looked forward to further strengthening cooperation with Chinese universities in education, research, and talent development.
