On June 9, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Limin met with Swedish Parliament Speaker Andreas Norlén. The two sides exchanged views on the development of China-Sweden relations, exchanges and cooperation between legislative bodies, as well as international and regional hotspot issues.

Ambassador Zhou stated that, over the past year and more, China-Sweden relations have move forward steadily through the joint efforts of both sides. As the new ambassador, he expressed his readiness to work together with all sectors of Swedish society to elevate the bilateral relationship to a new level.

Speaker Norlén welcomed Ambassador Zhou on taking up his new post and expressed his hope to maintain close communication with the Chinese side and to continuously advance the development of relations between the two countries.
