Sweden is the first Western country to have established diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China, and also the first country to have signed a bilateral investment protection agreement with China after the beginning of reform and opening up. With a long history of friendly exchanges, our two countries have jointly written a splendid chapter of mutual success and shared progress among countries from the East and the West with different civilizations, different systems and different stages of development. Over the years, China and Sweden have continued to strengthen political mutual trust, deepened and expanded practical cooperation, and achieved fruitful outcomes in cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Our two countries have similar development visions, complementary industrial strengths, and broad prospects of cooperation. Together, we can create a brighter future.
