On August 29, 2025, Ambassador Cui Aimin met with Professor Susanna Öhman, Vice-Chancellor of Halmstad University, to exchange ideas on strengthening China-Sweden higher education cooperation, among other topics.

Ambassador Cui highlighted the achievements of China’s higher education and scientific innovation, noting that Chinese modernization will create new opportunities for countries around the world, including Sweden. He commended Halmstad University for its distinctive approach to education, innovative spirit, and ability to keep pace with the trends of the times and the needs of society, expressing hope that the university would further strengthen exchanges with Chinese universities and research institutions, thereby contributing to practical cooperation in education between China and Sweden.

Vice-Chancellor Öhman outlined the university’s educational vision and cooperation with China, and expressed willingness to further advance Halmstad University’s exchanges and collaboration with Chinese partners, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
