On August 18, 2025, Ambassador Cui Aimin attended the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Sino-EU Engineering Education Platform (SEEEP) International High-Level Doctoral Summer School via video link and delivered remarks.

Ambassador Cui stated that China and the EU have complementary strengths in green energy, climate change and sustainable development, and have yielded remarkable cooperation outcomes in those fields, noting that the potential for future collaboration is immense. He emphasized that China’s high-quality development and high-standard opening up will provide new opportunities and more room for China-EU cooperation. He expressed hope that young scholars from both sides would cherish this invaluable opportunity for academic exchange and contribute to humanity’s common pursuit of addressing climate challenges and realizing sustainable development goals.

Since its launch in 2015, the event has consistently focused on the core academic theme of “Challenges of Energy Transition and Climate Change,” bringing together nearly 500 doctoral students from China and Europe in total.
