On November 12, 2024, the Chinese Embassy in Sweden held an open day event. Ambassador Cui Aimin attended the event and had friendly exchanges with more than 40 students from the United Nations Association of Stockholm Students and answered their questions.

In his remarks, Ambassador Cui said that China, an ancient Eastern country with a civilization spanning 5,000 years, has successfully forged the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, completed the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and realized the two major miracles of fast economic development and long-term social stability. China is a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development, and a defender of the international order. China has played an active role in addressing international hotspot issues and contributed China’s solution to the reform and improvement of the global governance system. China's development is an opportunity rather than a threat to the world. China is willing to deepen friendly cooperation with Sweden and create a better future together.

The students watched video clips with Chinese themes and performances of Peking Opera and chime bells, engaged in cultural activities that included movable type printing, calligraphy and Hanfu, and actively interacted with the embassy staff in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
