On November 28, 2024, Ambassador Cui Aimin delivered a speech at Karlstad University at the invitation of UPF Karlstad, and interacted with professors and students.

Ambassador Cui provided an overview of China’s economic and social development, especially the efforts to further deepen reform across the board to advance Chinese modernization, and highlighted that China’s high-standard opening up will provide robust momentum for global economic growth and green transition, and offer new opportunities for the world. He emphasized that China is committed to the independent foreign policy of peace, firmly safeguards its core interests, develops friendly and cooperative relations with all countries, plays an active part in addressing international and regional hotspot issues, and brings stability and positive energy to the world. Ambassador Cui answered questions on China-U.S. relations, China-Europe relations, China-Russia relations, BRICS cooperation, climate change, etc. The communication was engaging and the atmosphere was warm.

The audience watched a video showcasing the development achievements of New China. They said that the event enriched their understanding of China and hoped to know more about the country in the future.
