Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Cui Aimin Delivered a Speech at Linnaeus University

On March 26, 2024, Ambassador Cui Aimin was invited by the Association of International Affairs Växjö to deliver a speech at Linnaeus University and exchanged views with more than 50 students.

In his speech, Ambassador Cui introduced China’s independent foreign policy of peace, emphasized that China has always been a builder of world peace, a contributor to global development, and a defender of the international order. He elaborated on the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind and the connotation, significance and achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative and pointed out that the sound and steady development of China-Sweden and China-EU relations is in the interests of both sides. Ambassador Cui said that the students are welcome to visit and study in China to understand a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic China. Ambassador Cui also answered students’ questions on China-US relations, the Taiwan question, the South China Sea issue, China’s economy, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and other issues. The communication was dynamic and the atmosphere was warm.

The students said that their understanding of China’s national conditions, foreign policies and foreign relations through the lectures was increased and hoped that they would have more opportunities to learn about China in the future.
