Notice on Visa-free Policy to Six Countries on a Trial Basis

To further facilitate cross-border travel, China has decided to apply visa-free policy to more countries, which involves extending visa-free treatment to citizens holding ordinary passports from six countries on a trial basis, namely Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. From March 14, 2024 to November 30, 2024, citizens holding ordinary passports from the above-mentioned countries are exempted from visa to enter China and stay no more than 15 days for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes. Individuals who do not meet the visa-free requirements mentioned above still need to apply for a visa before entering China.
