In order to further facilitate the exchange of Chinese and foreigners, the following adjustments to visas and entry policies for foreigners to China will be effective from 0:00 on March 15, 2023, Beijing time:

1. The entry function of visas issued before March 28, 2020 and within the effective period will be resumed.

2. Visa-issuing authorities abroad will resume the review and issue of all types of visas for foreigners to China. Please refer to the relevant instructions for details.

3. Port visa authorities will resume the review and issue of all kinds of port visas for legal reasons.

4. Visa-free entry to Hainan province, visa-free entry for cruises to Shanghai, visa-free entry to Guangdong province for foreigners from Hong Kong and Macao and visa-free entry to Guilin, Guangxi for ASEAN tourist groups will be resumed.
